Use the tips provided here to help make travel arrangements easier, so the visit itself is remarkable. Having the Necessary PaperworkHaving a valid passport is a necessity. One will not be able to travel to the Holy Land without this important document. A valid passport needs to be good for six months or more from the time of arrival into Israel. An American or Canadian resident, however, can visit the Holy Land for three months without a visa. Keep in mind though, that the passport is still needed. A passport can be obtained through many United States postal facilities, as well as finding the closet place to apply through the U.S. Department of State. Other nationalities other than American and Canadian need to check with the Embassy in Israel for requirements pertaining to a visa.
