Jason Earles plays Jackson Stewart on "Hannah Montana," but there is much more he has done, and is planning to do in the future.
Jason Earles may play the goofy and fun teenage boy, Jackson Stewart, on the show "Hannah Montana," but actually, he is a respectable college graduate, and a legal adult. What's he up to now, and where will you see him next? Find out here. Jason Daniel Earles BiographyJason Daniel Earles came into the world on April 26th, 1985, in San Diego, CA. His parents worked hard to give each of their five children all the attention and dedication that they could. It must have been a daunting task. Jason started acting in the third grade where he played the part of “Hansel” in the school's rendition of “Hansel and Gretel.” He enjoyed it so much that after that first play, he welcomed every opportunity to practice and improve his acting skills. He admits that he also saw acting as a way to extra attention, because as the middle child, he felt occasionally over-shadowed by his siblings. For his role models, Jason has great respect for both of his parents. He has often openly discussed his suffering of ADHD as a child, and how supportive his mother was of him during those difficult moments. He considers his father to be the most devoted and hard working man that Jason has ever known, and hopes to someday be the type of husband and father that his own has been an example of. (Biography courtesy of TV.com) The Actor with a PurposeThe actor that Jason has modeled his career after is Michael J. Fox, and they do have a lot in common, such as size and comedy style. Michael’s struggles with Parkinson’s disease have inspired Jason to work harder in dealing with his own ADHD issues. Long before Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus) made her debut into television and onto the stage, Jason Earles was acting in movies, theater, and television. His roles in theatre include such classics as Pinocchio, Tom Sawyer, Twelfth Night, and quite a few others. Jason has also had various parts in movies that you may have seen including, Left Handed Gun, National Treasure, and American Pie 4. These are just to name a few (Internet Movie Database). His favorite type of acting, however, is television. You may have caught his appearances in Phil of the Future, Mad TV, Still Standing, and, of course, Hannah Montana. Jason has put a great deal of effort into perfecting his craft. He has had extensive training in many areas, such as cold reading, mastering dialects, and even Shakespearean acting (ABC Medianet, August 2007). Jason is proud to be a recipient of the prestigious AMTC award for Comedic and Dramatic Monologue, Cold Reading (Entalent.com). Jason Earles sets an excellent example for the young people of today. He shows us what might be accomplished with our lives, if we work hard and strive to reach our goals. Keep on acting, Jason!
