Tween Birthday Party

Planning a Great Day for Your Kids

Birthdays are so exciting for kids of all ages, and tweens are no exception. They may be growing up, but they still enjoy being treated special on their birthday.

I am in the midst of planning two birthday parties for different tweens. It is a hectic time in my household, but the atmosphere is very exciting. One boy is turning 11 years old, and is definitely out of the theme thing. He just wants a few friends over to play sports outside and have cake and snacks. That's pretty simple to plan. On the other hand, a soon to turn 9 years old boy wants a Pirates of the Caribbean party, which I plan to use the aid of party suggestions here on Suite101.

They are both quite enthusiastic about their parties, and it just goes to show that tweens are still kids at heart, even though they are growing up quickly. And, even though it is hectic around here, I am going to enjoy planning these parties for as long as I can. I have a teenage boy that is no longer interested in parties, per se, and while that's okay with me, I do regret that he is maturing like this.

Gift ideas for tween boys are rather simple universally. They like electronics, video games, sports equipment, etc. We try to accommodate what fits in the budget for each, and hope for the best!

If you, too, are planning a birthday party any time soon, be sure to check out all the great ideas here at Suite101. There is a wide range of party suggestions to read about.

Happy Birthday to anyone celebrating a birthday today or soon! Best wishes.
